Goals

First Goal

Our first priority is to get this General Assessment Neurotransmitter Test Panel

This is a test for autistic people which will give us baseline information about how Molly's brain functions. It will cost us $190 and must be paid for in advance.

We have hope that this will be partially reimbursed by our insurance at some point in the future. If or when this happens, that reimbursement will go directly into the next treatment fund for Molly.

Second Goal

After we get that sent off, we would like to start Molly on digestive enzymes. Earlier this week I went to a lecture on enzymes and heard a lot of promising information about how digestive enzymes can help autistic children. We believe Molly does not properly digest most of the food that she eats, and we've often noticed dark circles under her eyes from it. I also think it is the root to why she cannot eat gluten or dairy without getting sick. The enzymes aren't extremely expensive, but it's a potentially long term expense that isn't in our budget. We want to start her on Digest Gold which I've heard great things about. We've also trying to get our library to order this book Enzymes for Autism but no luck so far.

Future

Long term, we're looking to do Sequential Homeopathy with Molly, which runs several hundred dollars for the initial consultation, and between $60-200 a treatment after that (ideally monthly for a year). We're still investigating where we want to go for this.

We are also looking at Sensory Learning. I know of some people who've had fantanstic results with their children in this 2 week program. The cost is about $3,000, plus a week long hotel stay and travel expenses. More info to come.

I would also like to do Samonas auditory therapy, and craniosacral therapy. These are both regular, out of pocket expenses that are generally not covered by insurance. Still investigating here.
